Paul Bonnett receives a cheque for the Air Ambulance from President Gemma and members<\/p><\/div>\n
Paul Bonnett, the Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Leicester, is a volunteer ambassador for the Air Ambulance. He offered to come and speak to the Rotary Club of Leicester Novus, which he did in February.<\/p>\n
Paul returned for\u00a0the club meeting on May 4, to collect a donation of \u00a3285 which will help maintain and develop the life-saving services of the Air Ambulance<\/a>. President Gemma Kiddy said that since Paul’s talk, she now looked up, every time she heard a helicopter, to see if it was one of the two yellow and blue ones operated by the local air ambulance.<\/p>\n In thanking Novus Rotary,\u00a0Paul explained that he was delighted to accept the cheque, but his motivation in offering to talk had been to spread awareness of the charity.<\/p>\n At the same meeting, Secretary Pam Spokes announced that she had received a letter from Leicester Shelter thanking the club for its donation for a similar amount.
