Nathalie Craig spoke to the Rotary Club of Leicester Novus about herself and her work in Newcastle, 100 miles north of Sydney.<\/p>\n

Nathalie also spoke about her work at the Leicester Mercury, which has been arranged as part of her three months here as Rotary District 1070’s Youth Exchange candidate.<\/p>\n

She was collected from the Mercury building and taken for a drink in Walkabout, the Australia-themed bar in Leicester. It was her first visit to that bar… and to her surprise, she met a fellow Australian working there. Nathalie left with a World Cup T-shirt.<\/p>\n

Nathalie is a food writer who knows what she likes… so for the fourth time she went to Kayal, a restaurant specialising in food from Kerala, in South India, where her host Gemma Kiddy spent time working for the charity Global Vision International. <\/a><\/p>\n

Then it was off to the Stoneycroft Hotel in Leicester where Nathalie entertained her audience with her slides showing her home, her family and her involvement with the Rotary Club of Myall Coast<\/a> who she thanked for giving her the once-in-a-lifetime chance to practice her profession in the UK and to travel and explore the wider world.<\/p>\n

All present reckon the Rotary Club of Myall Coast, and the Rotary Club of Blaby, her sponsors in the UK, can be proud of an accomplished and entertaining communicator.<\/a><\/p>\n

Jon Kingsley-Mills, from Glen Parva, spent time in Australia, thanks to the Rotary Club of Blaby. Nathalie is spending time with Jon and his parents.<\/p>\n
