Treasurer Deepak Karia worked on his spreadsheet during Novus’s Zoom meeting, so members could see exactly what options were open to them<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
With the end of the Rotary year approaching fast, members of Leicester Novus Rotary voted to give to charities very nearly \u00a32,664.

They decided to give nearly \u00a31,200 to The Rotary Foundation<\/strong>, the organisation’s own charity, \u00a3300 to the Helipads For Hospitals<\/strong> charity (which will be matched pound for pound by a grant from the Rotary Foundation with the rest being shared between End Polio Now<\/strong>, Rotary’s 35-year battle to rid the world of polio; Clic Sargent<\/strong> which provides nursing care for young people with cancer; Mary’s Meals<\/strong>, which provides meals to encourage children in developing countries to attend school; Leicester Children’s Holidays<\/strong>, which provides holidays for children from disadvantaged backgrounds; the local Children’s Air Ambulance<\/strong>; and the Cash 4 Kids<\/strong> appeal which is working to help children during the COVID-19 crisis.
