<\/a>During their recent holiday in America, Pam Spokes, Assistant Secretary of the Rotary Club of Leicester Novus, and her husband Rodney, past president of the Rotary Club of Leicester, went to the global headquarters of Rotary.<\/p>\n

At Rotary One Center (the American spelling) in Evanston, Chicago, they felt honoured (English spelling!)\u00a0to meet RI President K R \u201cRavi\u201d Ravindran.<\/p>\n

“We discussed recruitment and concerns about the ageing membership of Rotary in the UK.\u00a0 \u00a0I was pleased to tell him about Leicester Novus with its wide age range and our new young President Gemma,” said Pam.<\/p>\n

When she and Rodney\u00a0have finished unpacking, Pam will no doubt say more to members of her club, being led this year by Gemma Kiddy, who celebrated her 29th birthday a week after becoming president.<\/p>\n
