Dipan Bhagalia, the Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Leicester Novus, was one of a couple of dozen brave souls who abseiled down Gateway House, De Montfort University, in aid of The Spark Arts for Children.<\/p>\n
Current Rotary president Gemma Kiddy has chosen Spark Arts as her favoured charity during this year and sponsorship through the Rotary Club alone raised more than \u00a3100.<\/p>\n

Other abseilers included staff from Spark Arts, staff from De Montfort University and Lord Mayor of Leicester Ted\u00a0Cassidy MBE.<\/p>\n
At the end of the day, Carrie\u00a0Carruthers,\u00a0Development Manager for Spark Arts said: “We are delighted to tell you that we smashed our fundraising target \u2014\u00a0raising \u00a34,480 plus \u00a3907 gift aid with some donations still to come in to the office.”\u00a0The final total raised will be posted here when it is announced.<\/p>\n
