The Leicester Novus Rotary Club’s hopes (?) of progressing further in the District Minor Sports competition came to an end at the Black Dog pub in Oadby when the Rotary Club of Hinckley\u00a0Ambion beat them at skittles.<\/p>\n
As always in these matches, there\u00a0was lots of excellent banter about the competitors’ prospects of going further… possibly even to Skegness (soon the Rotary Club there might become part of District 1070).<\/p>\n
The conversation continued at ‘half time’ pub\u00a0over an excellent \u00a35 pub meal organised by Novus secretary Frazer Robson and captain David Clorley. But at the end it was Hinckley Ambion who had won by 174 points to 158.<\/p>\n
