To coincide with the celebrations of its 10th anniversary, in November 2018 the Rotary Club of Leicester Novus created its own charity.
The short name for the Rotary Club of Leicester Novus Trust Fund is the Rotary Novus Charity. Both are recognised by the Charity Commission where the charity is registered with the number 118 1718.
You can read all about the charity’s aims by clicking on either link above.
Because the charity is new, there’s not a lot to read, yet.
Essentially, though, the aim is that to reassure donors that the charity is properly managed, and independently examined according to Charity Commission rules.
The Rotary Club can use Gift Aid to maximise the benefits of donations, whether the beneficiaries are in the UK or overseas.
The trustees at the present time are Jason Chauhan, Past President of the Rotary Club of Leicester Novus, secretary Pam Spokes and treasurer Deepak Karia.
