Visiting Rotarian and friend Raji Taoheed Olawale, the president of Rotary Club of Ibadan-Elebu Metropolis Nigeria, who is currently staying in Leicester, shared his experiences here in the United Kingdom and particularly Leicester. We were also joined by his three children, Aliyah, Hasan and Aqeelah, all of whom are at school in Leicester and are proud members of Rotakids in Nigeria. The Chair of Leicester Satellite Rotary club, Diana Esho, attended the meeting with her husband, Mark, who is past member of Leicester Novus. In addition to the Leicester Novus members who attended in person, we were joined via Zoom by seven members of Rotary from Ibadan.
Raji’s wife, Fatimat, is completing her studies at De Montfort University in Leicester which is why the family are currently living in Leicester.
We received gratitude for all Leicester Novus members for the help and welcome received from the first contact back in February.
President Raji expressed his appreciation of process and structure, in the UK. He wants to follow such systems further in his work life at his school and college in Nigeria, where he lectures on Agriculture.
