Just before breaking up for Easter, youngsters at Mellor Primary School in Leicester received Rotary Star awards for the Spring term.
As has become customary, Deputy Head Teacher Asif Esat has created this video showing the children with their Rotary Star certificates presented by Leicester Novus Rotary Club secretary Pam Spokes, who also leads the club’s Youth Service projects.

President Jim Matthews praised the school for continuing the tradition of rewarding good citizenship and thanked Mr Esat and his teaching colleagues for the help they unfailingly give Novus Rotary.
Jim said: “Please make sure you have the volume turned up when you play the video, so you can hear what the pupils’ colleagues say about them. I love the fact that Mr Esat and his colleagues seem to be preparing confident young people to become TV newsreaders of the future!”
