Novus hits its targets

Rotary may be a voluntary service organisation. But to achieve as much as it does, its members set themselves targets.

Each year the 1.16 million members of the 46,000 clubs around the world hold a special meeting at which they agree what they want to achieve, whether it be in their town, their country or on the other side of the world.

Ranjit Singh Mann, President 2022-2023

Although the targets are set by each club, they are deliberately challenging. So those clubs which hit them are rewarded with a certificate signed by the President of Rotary International. In the year that ended on June 30 that president was Communications executive Jennifer Jones, from Ontario, Canada. And the president of Leicester Novus Rotary was Ranjit Singh Mann, from Knighton.

Retired pharmacist Ranjit, from Stoneygate, said: “This is great news and I am absolutely delighted to get the citation for my presidential year. With the wonderful support and encouragement from all the Novus family, we had a very successful year. I thank all our members for making this happen. We should all be proud of what we achieved in 2022/23.”
