The final scores show that Leicester Novus will go through to Round Two of District Minor Sports.

One of the reasons Rotarians members enjoy being a member of a Rotary Club is the fellowship that it brings, not only within their own club, but between clubs.

To engender and enhance that fellowship is the annual Minor Sports competition. Often held in pub skittle alleys and involving all manner of friendly games, neighbouring clubs compete in a series of knock-out matches.

In the first round of the 2016-2017 competition, the Rotary Club of Blaby was tasked with arranging the match and hosting the Rotary Club of Leicester Novus at the Red Lion at Huncote.

Despite being outnumbered two to one, the visitors had effectively won the match before stopping for a delicious traditional pub supper.

Nonetheless, the fun and fellowship was such that President Elsbeth James rallied her troops for a third round which resulted Novus progressing through to Round Two. President Gemma Kiddy thanked the hosts for providing an evening of good food and super fellowship.
