At its first meeting of 2015, the Rotary Club of Leicester Novus inducted a new member.
Even though IT analyst Jason Chauhan will not be 24 until May, he has not significantly altered the average age of the club, whose name implies that it wants to remain new and youthful.
In keeping with its aims, the meeting later heard from Personal Fitness Instructor Jitesh Joshi about how exercise and diet can help people – even older Rotarians – keep active and enjoy good health. For its second meeting of 2015, Leicester Novus will join an exercise class by Jitesh, whose business has recently won 14 new contracts with the NHS.
Jason was inducted by President Dipan Bhagalia, who may be the youngest Rotary president ever to have served in District 1070, the East Midlands of England.
Next year, though, the club will be led by Gemma Kiddy, who was only 23 when she was a founder-member of the Novus Club in 2009.
