Scattering far and near – Rotary Club Of Leicester Novus

Scattering far and near

Chief Paul Odimmegwa, President of the Rotary Club of Banjul, receives a Novus banner from Jim Matthews ???????????????????????????????

Like many Rotary Clubs, the Novus club occasionally holds a Scatter Week when members are encouraged to visit other clubs to share the Rotary fellowship.
When Novus held its Scatter Week in February 2014, Pam Spokes visited the Rotary Club of Leicester and Gemma Kiddy visited the Rotary Club of Leicester De Montfort. The week coincided with Jim Matthews’s holiday and he visited the Rotary Club of Banjul in The Gambia.
Although he had visited that club about 15 times in the  last 18 years, he took a Rotary Club of Leicester Novus banner because this was his first visit since joining Novus.

Our photos show Jim presenting that banner to the president of the Rotary Club of Banjul Chief Paul Odimmegwa and presenting their banner to Novus President Dipan Bhagalia.

Channi Riyait was also far afield, making his first visit to the Rotary Club of Delhi South during a visit to India which included visits to Ahmadabad and Amritsar and his home town of Phagwara in the Punjab.
