Rotarians offered to help customers pack bags and were given lots of cash to help the club conduct its local projects.

Rotary is always able to help with troubles large or small
One shopper had bought two dozen eggs and perched them on his shopping trolley, The eggs fell off and instantly became scrambled eggs. While waiting for a staff member to clear up the mess, the Rotary’s collection sign came in handy to prevent customers slipping.
The amount donated during the Saturday before Christmas was a shade under £375. Collection organiser Jim Matthews said: “This is a tremendous amount which will help us serve our local community in various ways. Once again the shoppers at Asda have shown what a wonderfully generous lot they are. They — and the management and staff at the store — were incredibly kind with donations and pre-Christmas banter.
“Speaking personally, this annual event really sets my Christmas rolling as people of all faiths and of none greet each other with a smile and good wishes.”
