Rotary clubs achieve a lot, but often can do so only because they are helped by members of the public.
Leicester Novus is now asking for help…
With many other clubs from across the East Midlands, we are contributing to a days of games in April at Stamford.
Our task — and we have chosen to accept it — is to run a darts competition.
The problem is, we do not have any darts, dart boards or stands.
Can you loan us darts and a dartboard over the weekend of April 14-15? Or can you make or loan us stands like the one in the photo? We think we need six dartboards and three stands, high enough to support dartboards at the right height for people standing and in a wheelchair.
If you can help us give disabled sportspeople a good weekend, please e-mail Jim Matthews
You’ll be getting Jim off the hook… but more importantly helping give sportsmen some fun.
